Daily Schedule
Our students are happy and eager to learn! Our day officially runs from 7:50am to 2:50pm. Our students have twenty minutes of morning recess, and forty minutes of lunch recess. On Fridays, we hike or field-trip from 1pm-2:45pm.
In the classroom, our students learn mathematics, writing, grammar and writing, nature science, logic, history, poetry, music, dance, art, and performance.
We teach the Catholic faith because we believe that God is the source and origin of all life’s goodness, truth and beauty and the essential desire of every person’s mind and heart. Our students attend Daily Mass at Our Lady of the PIllar Church. All of our students - Catholic and non-Catholic - appreciate this moment of our day to grow more deeply rooted in the conviction that “I am loved.”
Our morning “Flag Salute” sets the tone for a unified and joyful learning environment. It includes the patriotic and traditional Pledge of Allegiance, a daily dose of history, poetry, song, jokes, riddles, announcements and the Birthday Report.
Field trips have been to our beautiful State of California national parks, museums, performing art centers, Missions, and local Half Moon Bay businesses. We also encourage local community members to speak to our students about the world of work and business
All of this is rooted in the belief that children learn best by good experiences, in a loving and respectful environment.
We currently do not offer extended day care or summer camp opportunities, but will as soon as a sufficient number of our families request it.
